LOCAL Real Estate Office Raises over $1,000 dollars in 2 hours for Greater St Louis Children Charities

onb5For the past 10 years on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, our St Charles office (Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Select Properties) volunteers, rain or shine, on one of the coldest days of the season to strap on their aprons and support The Greater St. Louis Area Children’s Charities by selling newspapers in St. Louis Post-Dispatch Old Newsboys Day.

Getting up well before dawn this morning, they converged on their intersection at Hwy N and Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St Charles to start selling papers for nothing more than a simple donation. The donations collected today go to an important cause and support  more than 270 LOCAL charity programs for children.

It was amazing to see the community come together this morning. Thank you to all the generous contributors who slowed down their cars, rolled down their windows and donated as little as a quarter all the way to $20 dollars for a newspaper.

I also want to say “Thank You” to Jacob Gould, John Lorinc, Mark HunsteinSteve Majesky, Kyle Hannegan and Barb Herbert for getting up very early this morning, braving the cold temperatures, dodging traffic and selling those newspapers. Your efforts helped raise over $1,000 dollars for Greater St Louis Children’s Charities in a little over 2 hours. Take a bow! Job well done!
