Prudential Select Properties St Charles County Agents Raise over $700 dollars for LOCAL Children Charities

oldnewsboy2013For the past 9 years on the Thursday before Thanksgiving, Prudential Select Properties St Charles County Agents volunteer, rain or shine, on one of the coldest days of the season to strap on their aprons to support LOCAL children’s charities by selling newspapers in Suburban Journals Old Newsboy Day.

Getting up before well before dawn this morning, they converged on their intersection at Hwy N and Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St Charles to start selling papers for nothing more than a simple donation. The donations collected today go to an important cause and support  more than 270 LOCAL charity programs for children.

It was amazing to see the community come together this morning. Thank you to all the generous contributors who slowed down their cars, rolled down their windows and donated as little as a quarter all the way to $20 dollars for a newspaper.

I also want to say “Thank You” to Jacob Gould, Mike Simms, Steve Majesky, Kyle Hannegan, Rick Colburn and Stephanie Parson for getting up very early this morning, braving the rain, dodging traffic and selling those newspapers. Your efforts helped raise over $700 dollars benefiting LOCAL children’s charities. Take a bow! Job well done!

  1. Still hold the record! BAM! I didn’t even know it was ONB day until they announced it on the radio on my way to work.

    Thank you.
